Disconnect the brake pushrod from the bellcrank.

Disconnect the quadrant pushrods from the two rudder arms.

Disconnect the flexshaft from the forward quadrant jackshaft.
(a)
Loosen the shaft retaining nut on the flexshaft, and push it forward to the quadrant jackshaft.
(b)
Hold the shaft retaining nut and washer, and pull the flexshaft out of the jackshaft.

Remove the cover extension.

Remove the upper cover assembly of the rudder pedal (Fig. 402):
(a)
Remove the screws from the sides of the rudder pedal cover.
(b)
With the flexshaft attached, lift the rudder pedal cover off the floor and move it away.
NOTE: Pull the flexshaft carefully through the floor structure
____ when you remove the cover.
