Remove the bolt (5) that connects the support rods (4) from the lower inboard side of the left programmer.
(i)
Remove the bolts (15) that attach the left programmer (18) to the rigging beam of the wheel well.
(j)
Remove the programmer.
(k)
Remove the force limiter (1) from the left wheel well.

D. Procedure

(1)
Install the aileron force limiter (Fig. 401):
(a)
Set the aileron force limiter (1) into its position (Fig. 401).
(b)
Set the left aileron programmer (18) into its position.
(c)
Install the bolts (15), washers (16) and nuts (17).
(d)
Connect the support rods (4) to the lower inboard side of the left programmer with a bolt (5), washer (6), bushing (8), and nut (7).

Do this task: "Hydraulic System Pressurization with a Hydraulic Service Cart" (Ref 29-11-00/201).

Connect the input control rod (14) to the programmer input crank (9) with a bolt (2) and collar (3).
(a)
Adjust the input control rod until you can easily install rig pin A/S-6.
(b)
Install rig pin A/S-6.
(c)
Make sure you can easily install rig pin A/S-7.
(d)
Install rig pin A/S-7.

Install the force limiter rod (23) with the bolts (24), nuts (26), washers (25), bushings (27), and cotter pins (28).
(a)
If it is necessary, adjust the rod length with vernier adjustment.
(b)
Make sure the vernier adjustment rod end (29) and sleeve (30) dimensions are not out of tolerance (Fig. 401).
(c)
Tighten the checknuts.
(d)
Install the lockwire.
(5)
Adjust the aileron trim system:

NOTE: The airplane temperature must be stable (use a tolerance of
____ +/- 5 degrees) for a minimum of 1 hour before the system adjustment. The cable tension values will not be correct if there are temperature differences along the cable run.
