Install the PCM Filters

(1)
Install the inlet filter element (23):
(a)
Apply assembly lube to the backup rings (24) and O-ring (25).
(b)
Install the new backup rings (24) and O-rings (25) on the new inlet filter element (23).
(c)
Install the inlet filter element (23) in the PCM.
(d)
Apply assembly lube to the backup rings (21) and O-ring (22).
(e)
Install the new backup rings (21) and O-ring (22) on the inlet filter cap (20).
(f)
Install the inlet filter cap (20) on the PCM. 1) Tighten the cap to 400-450 pound-inches.
(g)
Install a lockwire on the inlet filter cap (20).

Install the transfer filter element (16):
(a)
Apply assembly lube to the new backup rings (15) and the O-ring (26).
(b)
Install the backup rings (15) and the O-ring (26) on the new transfer filter element (16).

Install the transfer filter element (16) in the PCM.
(d)
Apply assembly lube to the new backup rings (17) and the O-ring (18).
(e)
Install the backup rings (17) and the O-ring (18) on the transfer filter cap (19).
(f)
Install the transfer filter cap (19) on the PCM. 1) Tighten the cap to 200-250 pound-inches.
(g)
Install a lockwire on the transfer filter cap (19).

Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers:

P180 DC Power Distribution Panel
1) 180E7 ELEV/RUD VLV SYS 2
2) 180E22 ELEV/RUD VLV SYS 4
3) 180H8 ELEV/RUD VLV SYS 1
4) 180H23 ELEV/RUD VLV SYS 3

Set the FLT CONTROL HYD POWER TAIL switches on the P461 Pilot's Overhead Maintenance Panel to NORM.

Do the Operational Test for the Filter of the Rudder PCM

WARNING:_______MAKE SURE THE NOSE WHEELS POINT FORWARD. IF THE NOSE WHEELS DO NOT POINT FORWARD, THE NOSE GEAR CAN QUICKLY TURN TO THE CENTER POSITION WHEN YOU REMOVE THE TOW PIN. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(1) Install the TOW PIN at the steering metering valve for the nose landing gear (Ref 09-11-00/201).
NOTE: The nose gear will turn during the rudder operation if you do

not install the TOW PIN.
