1. General
A. This subject contains instructions for inspection of the rudder trim, feel, and centering mechanism.
B. To make an inspection of the rudder trim, feel, and centering mechanism these operations are necessary:
-Open the access panel 324FL
-Examine the rudder trim, feel, and centering mechanism for wear
-Close the access panel 324FL.

Examine the springs, input crank, output crank, center shaft and cam for cracks and/or corrosion.

Close the access panel 324FL (Ref 06-09-07/201).

RUDDER RATIO CHANGER - MAINTENANCE PRACTICES

1. General_______
A. The rudder ratio changer (RRC) automatically adjusts the rudder position and makes an allowance for changes in the airplane speed. When the airplane speed increases, the RRC decreases the input to the rudder power control packages (PCP) and moves the rudder in the direction of neutral. You will find the RRC connected to the rear spar of the vertical fin near the upper or lower rudder PCP.
