MAINTENANCE MANUAL
WARNING:_______ MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF THE
LE AND TE FLAPS AND FLAP DRIVE MECHANISMS BEFORE YOU
MOVE THE FLAP CONTROL LEVER. WITH HYDRAULIC POWER
REMOVED, THE FLAPS WILL MOVE AUTOMATICALLY BY
ELECTRICAL POWER WHEN YOU MOVE THE FLAP CONTROL
LEVER. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO
EQUIPMENT.
1) Move the flap control lever to the FLAP UP detent to retract the flaps.
CAUTION: DO NOT INCREASE OR DECREASE THE PITOT STATIC PRESSURE
_______ AT A RATE OF MORE THAN 4 KNOTS EACH SECOND. THIS IS TO PREVENT POSSIBLE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
2) Pressurize the Captain's and the First Officer's pitot static systems to 232 knots maximum (AMM 34-11-00/201).
NOTE: Use the airspeed indicator on the primary flight
____ display to read the pressure.
3) Make sure the lockout actuator stays in the extended position (not locked out).
CAUTION: DO NOT INCREASE OR DECREASE THE PITOT STATIC PRESSURE
_______ AT A RATE OF MORE THAN 4 KNOTS EACH SECOND. THIS IS TO PREVENT POSSIBLE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
4) Increase the pitot static pressure slowly to 245 knots minimum. 5) Make sure the lockout actuator moves to the retracted position (locked out) in 45 seconds.
NOTE: The 45 second interval is the amount of time used by
____ the SRM monitoring logic to determine if there is a fault with the actuator.
6) Turn the control wheels 80 degrees in each direction.
7) Make sure the movement of the outboard aileron trailing edge is not more than | 0.50 degree (| 0.40 inch) from the neutral position.
