(3) S 034-052Disconnect all of the bonding jumpers (43), at the rudder hinges, from the rudder front spar (Fig. 404).
(4) S 864-053Put the upper rudder in its center position.
(5) S 494-054Attach the upper rudder sling to the crane, then set the sling to hold the rudder in the vertical position.
NOTE:____ We recommend that you use a load positioner (also called a Zero G device) to let you manually move the upper rudder.
(6) S 284-055Make sure the sling is locked in this position.
(7) S 034-056Pull the sling up (with the crane) to hold the weight of the upper rudder.
NOTE:____ The upper rudder weighs approximately 388 pounds.
