(a)
Reduce the hydraulic pressure to zero and vent both up and down ports on door actuator to return (reservoir) pressure.
(b)
Make sure the door is in the locked position.

Alternative Door Adjustment For The Shock Strut (Airplane Not Lifted)
NOTE: Use these procedures when it is not possible to lift the
____ airplane and when the exact length of the linkage rods and the stop pad positions are known. If the length of the linkage rods and the stop pad position are not known, you can not use this procedure.

Adjust the linkage rods (View B, Figure 505 and Figure 506) to the accurate same length as the replaced linkage rods in the initial installation.

Set the door stop pads in the same location relative to the outer skin as in the initial installation.
NOTE: All stop pads are on the inboard shock strut door.
____ It does not include the one which is on the support structures at the forward end of the door.

Apply a commercially avialable inspection putty to the door stops.

After the first flight, examine and measure the putty.
NOTE: Use the shimes to adjust the door stop pads accordingly.

(1) Do this task: "Removal of the Door Locks on the Nose Landing Gear" (AMM 32-00-30/201).
