(1) Install the ground locks in all landing gear (AMM 09-11-00/201).

_______ THE DOOR LOCKS ON THE LANDING GEAR DOORS. THE DOORS CAN CLOSE QUICKLY IF YOU DO NOT INSTALL THE DOOR LOCKS CORRECTLY. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

Do this task: "Shock Strut Servicing Fast Check (AMM 12-15-03/301).

Inspect the shock struts for leakage.

If you find leakage of the shock strut fluid on the inner cylinder, make sure the shock strut is serviceable:
(a)
Wipe the surface of the inner cylinder with a clean cloth to remove all of the fluid from the leak. 1) Make sure the extension of the inner cylinder does not
change during this time. 2) Make a record of the number of drops which come from the
seals during the 15 minutes. 3) Make a record of the location of the leak. 4) Tow the airplane to cause movement between the inner
cylinder and the outer cylinder of shock strut (AMM 09-11-00/201).
NOTE: The minimum distance the airplane must be moved is
____ two airplane lengths.

(b)
Wipe the surface of the inner cylinder again with a clean cloth to remove all of the fluid from the leak.
(c)
Monitor the inner cylinder where it meets with the outer cylinder for 15 minutes. 1) Make sure the extension of the inner cylinder does not
change during this time. 2) Make a second record of the number of drops which come from the seals during the 15 minutes. 3) Make a record of the location of the leak.
(d)
Calculate the average of the number of drops which came from the seals from both of the 15 minute measurements.
NOTE: If the average is less than 30 drops during the 15
____ minutes time, the shock strut is serviceable. If the leakage flows continuously from the seals or is greater than 30 drops during the 15 minutes, then the shock strut is not serviceable.
