Butter lubricate all the nuts, bolts and washers immediately before you install them.

Install the actuator with the head end near the shock strut.

Install the actuator with the bolts, the clamp-up bushings, and the nylon spacers at each end of the actuator.
NOTE: The left actuator and the right actuator are
____ interchangeable. They are interchangeable if you put the hydraulic fitting in the correct position as shown in Fig. 401. You must install new O-rings (packing) on the hydraulic fitting when you change the position of the hydraulic fitting.

(4) Tighten the head end nut 600 to 1200 pound-inches and install the cotter pin.
NOTE: If it is necessary, loosen the nut to the nearest
