1. General_______
A. This procedure contains two tasks:
(1)
The removal of the side brace assembly from the nose landing gear.
(2)
The installation of the side brace assembly on the nose landing gear.

Install the ground locks in all landing gear (AMM 09-11-00/201).

WARNING: YOU MUST CAREFULLY DO THE STEPS IN THE TASK BELOW TO INSTALL
_______ THE DOOR LOCKS ON THE LANDING GEAR DOORS. THE DOORS CAN CLOSE QUICKLY IF YOU DO NOT INSTALL THE DOOR LOCKS CORRECTLY. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(2) Do this task: "Installation of the Door Locks on the Nose Landing Gear" (Ref 32-00-30/201).

WARNING: MAKE SURE YOU FULLY EXTEND THE SHOCK STRUT ON THE NOSE LANDING
_______ GEAR BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT THE DRAG BRACE. IF YOU DO NOT EXTEND THE SHOCK STRUT FULLY, A MOVEMENT OF THE PARTIAL COMPRESSED SHOCK STRUT CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS.
(3) Lift the nose of the airplane with jacks until the wheels are immediately above the ground (AMM 07-11-02/201).
NOTE: Do not deflate the shock strut.

Align the shock strut in the straight position and install the rigging pin in the link drum of the trunnion pivot.
(a)
Install the rigging pin in the summing lever of the shock strut on the nose landing gear (AMM 32-51-00/501).
(b)
Loosen NWS2A and NWS2B cables tension at turnbuckles.

Procedure

(1)
Remove the side brace.
(a)
Remove all screws to remove hydraulic clamps (4) from the side braces.
