Install the ground locks in all landing gear (AMM 09-11-00/201).

If it is necessary, remove the nose wheel (AMM 32-45-02/401) on the opposite side of the pin nut of the tow fitting.

Remove the nut, the washer, the pin and the tow fitting.

 (1)
Install the ground locks in all landing gear (AMM 09-11-00/201).

 (2)  
Install the tow fitting.

 (a)  
Apply a corrosion preventive compound to the tow fitting.

 (b)  
Apply a light layer of grease to the pin shank and the threads, the washer and the nut.

 (c)  
Set the tow fitting on the shock strut.

 (d)  
Install the attach pin, the washer and the nut.

 (e)  
Tighten the nut 50 - 70 pound-feet.

 (f)  
Loosen the nut to the nearest slot and install the cotter pin.
