Open the bleed valve on the actuator to decrease the pressure on the truck actuator and the lines (Ref 32-13-15/401).

Disconnect and seal the hydraulic lines from the valve.

Hold the valve and remove the three bolts.

Remove the valve.

Remove the hydraulic fittings from the valve.

Install the hydraulic fittings in the valve ports with the new O-rings, gaskets and the backup rings.
(a)
Lubricate the O-rings, gaskets and the backup rings with Skydrol lubricant during the installation.

Procedure

(1) Attach the valve with the three bolts, the washers and the nutplates shown on Figure 401.
NOTE: Install the bolts with the heads forward.

Remove the plugs from the hydraulic lines.

Connect the hydraulic lines to the valve.

Examine the hydraulic connections for leaks.

Open the bleed valve to bleed the system on the truck actuator.
(a)
Permit approximately 1 to 2 pints of fluid to flow from the valve.
(b)
Permit more fluid to flow from the valve if the bubbles stay in the system.
NOTE: Install a hydraulic fuse in the truck system if the
____ flow stops. Hold the manual bypass lever in the up position for two seconds to set the fuse again.
