WARNING: MAKE SURE YOU HOLD THE TRIPOD BEFORE YOU REMOVE THE APEX PIN.
_______ THE TOP TRIPOD BRACE WEIGHS APPROXIMATELY 45 POUNDS. THE LOWER TRIPOD BRACE WEIGHS APPROXIMATELY 57 POUNDS. FAILURE TO HOLD THE TRIPOD WILL CAUSE THE TRIPOD TO FALL. IT CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(3)
Remove the tripod apex pin.
(a)
Remove the apex pin nut of the tripod.
(b)
Install the thread protector.
(c)
Adjust the forward caster jacks to release the pressure on the pin.
(d)
Remove the tripod apex pin.
(e)
Move the drag strut forward and insert the apex pin in the tripod assembly.
(f)
Hold the drag strut forward.

CAUTION: KEEP THE BEARINGS AND THE BEARING CAPS IN THE SETS.
_______ IF YOU USE THE INCORRECT SETS, YOU CAN CAUSE TOO MUCH WORN AREAS OR DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT.
(4)
Remove the two bolts on each trunnion to remove the bearing caps from the trunnion fitting.
(a)
Make a mark on the bearings and the caps for installation.
NOTE: Remove each side of the door opening below the trunnion
____ bearings to get access to the cap nuts. Remove the exterior skin panel approximately 5-1/2 x 17 to get to the fairing fasteners.

Remove the nose landing gear.
(a)
Use the dolly caster jacks to lower the gear.
WARNING: LOCK THE OUTBOARD CASTER JACKS WHEN YOU MOVE THE NOSE
_______ LANDING GEAR. DO NOT TOW THE NOSE LANDING GEAR MORE THAN 3 MILES PER HOUR. KEEP THE RADIUS OF TURNS TO 10 FEET MINIMUM TO PREVENT THE GEAR TO FALL. MOVE THE NOSE GEAR WITH THE WHEELS ON WHEN YOU USE THE DOLLY.
(b) Use the dolly to move the nose landing gear from the area.
