(b) Make sure the tape around the trunnion arm and the upper tripod
brace at the clamp positions is not damaged.
(c) Clean the brace or the trunnion and replace the tape if it is
necessary.
NOTE:____ Make the tape with a minimum of 1-inch end-to-end
overlap around the trunnion.
(d) Install the left box assembly.
1) Move the left box aft and inboard to the last position
below the trunnion.
2) Turn the conduit assembly about its lower axis outboard and
aft to its initial position against the shock strut.
3) Install the left clamp loosely with the cushions to hold
the box.
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THE TWO ENDS OF THE CONDUIT ARE IN THE
_______ CORRECT POSITION. THE CONDUIT ENDS MUST FULLY ALIGN WITH THE CONNECTOR SLOTS TO PREVENT CONNECTOR DAMAGE WHEN YOU TIGHTEN THE COUPLING NUT.
(e) Connect the electrical conduit. 1) Install the attached bolts to the bracket (nose gear trunnion, left side) and tighten. 2) Tighten the coupling nut on the control panel with hand with a 1/8 turn and install the lockwire.
3) Tighten the top coupling nut of the flexible conduit assembly at a 90 degree elbow with your hand.
NOTE: Install the lockwire.

(f) Install the right box assembly. 1) Move the right box aft and inboard to the last position below the trunnion.
2) Install the right clamp with the cushions on the trunnion to hold the right box.
NOTE: Do not tighten the clamp.

Install the forward deflector assembly. 1) Move the deflector assembly inboard and aft to a position below the assembly of the upper tripod brace.
NOTE: Do from a position on the forward right side of the

shock strut.
2) Turn the clamps inboard to install the lower flanges of the upper tripod brace. a) Make sure you install each clamp correctly on a cushion
above the tape (Fig. 401, Sheet 3).Use the bolts from the removal to install the cross beam on the aft end of the two box assemblies.
NOTE: Tighten the bolts.

Attach the left box assembly to the forward deflector assembly.
1) Install 4 bolts which attach the outboard side of the deflector assembly to the forward side of the left box assembly.
NOTE: Tighten the bolts.

2) Install the bolts on the splice assembly on the inboard side of the left box assembly and the deflector assembly.
NOTE: Tighten the bolts.

Attach the right box assembly to the forward deflector assembly. 1) Install the bolts which attach the inboard side of the
right box assembly to the center of the deflector assembly.
NOTE: Tighten the bolts.

2) Install the splice channels that connect the inboard side of the right box assembly with the deflector assembly.
NOTE: Tighten the bolts through the channel.

3) Install the splice channels that connect the outboard side of the deflector assembly to the right box assembly.

4) Tighten the bolts through the splice channels and tighten the bolts through the box assembly flange.
CAUTION: MAKE SURE YOU PUT THE CUSHIONS BELOW THE CLAMPS CORRECTLY
_______ ABOVE THE TAPE BEFORE YOU TIGHTEN THE CLAMPS. THIS WILL PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE TRUNNION.
(k) Tighten the clamps that hold the bullnose to the shock strut. 1) Tighten the nuts on the clamps for the trunnion. 2) Install the remaining bolts in the clamps that hold the
