 (f) (g) (h) (i)  Connect the upper and the lower tripod brace with pin (7).Remove the bolt assembly (10). 1) Disconnect the downlock release link (9) from the crank fitting assembly (11) of the downlock and the actuator crank fitting (12).Remove the nut (22) and the washer (21). 1) Remove the crank fitting assembly (11) of the downlock from the release shaft (13) of the emergency downlock.Remove the emergency downlock coupling (18) from the release shaft (13) of the emergency downlock.

 (2)  Remove the alternate extension drive unit (AMM 32-35-05/401) of the nose landing gear.

 (3)  Remove the actuator crank fitting (12) from the downlock release shaft (14).
 S 494-016
 (4)  Install the drag strut sling to hold the drag strut during the removal of the pivot shaft.
 S 034-018
 (5)  Pull out the pivot shaft assembly (16) of the drag strut from the support fitting.
