Install the ground locks in all landing gear (AMM 09-11-00/201).

WARNING: YOU MUST CAREFULLY DO THE STEPS IN THE TASK BELOW TO INSTALL
_______ THE DOOR LOCKS ON THE LANDING GEAR DOORS. THE DOORS CAN CLOSE QUICKLY IF YOU DO NOT INSTALL THE DOOR LOCKS CORRECTLY. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(2) Do this task: "Installation of the Door Locks on the Nose Landing Gear" (AMM 32-00-30/201).

Release the pressure from the hydraulic system No. 1
(AMM 29-11-00/201).

Lift the nose of the airplane with jacks to decrease the pressure on the drag strut (AMM 07-11-02/201).

Remove the wire connection from the primary (S397) and the alternate (S424) lock sensor of the nose landing gear (AMM 32-61-03/201).

Remove the bolt (1).

Disconnect the lock actuator from the actuator crank fitting (12).

Disconnect the vertical links (3) from the upper drag strut and attach them out of the way.

Disconnect the vertical link (3) from the crank fitting
assembly (11) of the downlock.

Remove the Drag Strut

(1) Remove the pin (7).
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT YOU HOLD THE TRIPOD BEFORE YOU REMOVE THE
_______ PIN (7). THE UPPER TRIPOD BRACE WEIGHS APPROXIMATELY 45 POUNDS. THE LOWER TRIPOD BRACE WEIGHS APPROXIMATELY 57 POUNDS. FAILURE TO HOLD THE TRIPOD WILL RESULT IN A POSSIBLE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(a) Hold the tripod assembly to make sure the tripod will not fall when you remove the apex pin.

(b) (c) (d) (e) Remove the tripod apex lockbolt (5).Remove the nut (6).Install a thread protector on the pin (7).Remove the pin (7).
NOTE:____ Shake the nose gear tires backward and forward to help to remove the pin (7). Leave the lube insert (8) inside the pin (7).
1) Disconnect the lower drag strut from the upper tripod brace.
