Make sure you decrease the pressure on hydraulic power system No. 1 (AMM 29-11-00/201).

Use the straightedge and the scale to examine if the off-center dimension A is in the tolerance (Section A-A, Fig. 202).

If the dimension A is not less than the tolerance, do the subsequent adjustments:
(a)
Install the bungee clamp.
(b)
Tighten the clamp tightly until you release the spring tension when you remove the apex bolt.
(c)
Release the load on the landing gear if it is necessary to decrease the pressure on the apex bolt (AMM 07-11-00/201).
(d)
Hold the upper jury strut and remove the apex bolt for the jury strut and the ground lock (AMM 09-11-00/201).
(e)
Move the upper jury strut on the upper spindle pin to get to the bolts.
NOTE: These bolts hold the stop plate and shimes on the lower
____
jury strut.
(f)
Add or remove the shims to get the dimension A when you complete the assembly.
(g)
Install the stop plates with two bolts and the dowels (Fig. 202).
(h)
Lightly put the grease on the apex bolt and install the bolt in the jury strut.
(i)
Tighten the apex nut 600 to 1200 pound-inches and install the cotter pin.
(j)
Examine the dimension A again.

When the dimension is in the tolerance shown in Fig. 202, install the ground lock (AMM 09-11-00/201).
(a)
Put the load back on the gear and remove the jacks if you use the jacks (AMM 07-11-01/201).

(5) Pressurize the hydraulic system No. 1 (AMM 29-11-00/201).

_______ DOOR LOCKS FROM THE LANDING GEAR DOORS. THE DOORS CAN CLOSE QUICKLY IF YOU DO NOT REMOVE THE DOOR LOCKS CORRECTLY. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
