1. General
_______
A. This procedure contains three tasks:
(1)
The removal of the lower torsion link on the body landing gear.
(2)
The installation of the lower torsion link on the body landing gear.
(3)
The inspection for wear of the lower torsion link on the body landing gear.

_______ GEAR. AN ACCIDENTAL RETRACTION OF THE LANDING GEAR CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(1) Install the ground locks in all landing gear (AMM 09-11-00/201).

WARNING: YOU MUST CAREFULLY DO THE STEPS IN THE TASK BELOW TO INSTALL
_______ THE DOOR LOCKS ON THE LANDING GEAR DOORS. THE DOORS CAN CLOSE QUICKLY IF YOU DO NOT INSTALL THE DOOR LOCKS CORRECTLY. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(2) Do this task: "Installation of the Door Locks on the Wing Landing Gear" (AMM 32-00-30/201).

(3) S 842-029Do this task: "Installation of the Door Locks on the Body Landing Gear" (AMM 32-00-30/201).
(4) S 862-004Decrease the pressure on the hydraulic system No. 1 (AMM 29-11-00/201).
(5) S 492-005Hold the actuators to remove all load on the torsion link.
(6) S 032-006Remove the electrical conduit from the torsion link (Fig. 201). (a) Remove the bolts (2) and the nuts (3) to remove the pull box (1) from the torsion link. (b) Keep the conduit fairlead (7) and the conduit attached to the bracket.
NOTE:____ The bracket with the fairlead attached is removed during the removal of the hydraulic installation.
(c) Remove the bolts (5) and the washers (4) to remove the apex fairlead assembly.
(7) S 032-007Remove the hydraulic tubing and the brackets from the torsion link (Fig. 202). (a) Remove the hydraulic clamp and the trapeze (8) from the spindle (Section A-A, Fig. 202). 1) Remove the nut (5), the washer (1, 2 and 3), the shaft (9) and the bolt (6) from the spindle. 2) Remove the hydraulic clamp and the trapeze.
