1) Pull the quick-release pin (8) out of the tripod apex bolt (7).

Remove the tripod apex pin (7) from the threaded bushing (9).

Remove the nut (2) and washer.

Remove the retainer (1).
(c)
Hold the upper torsion link (5) and pull out the pin (4).
(d)
Remove the holding tool from the upper torsion link (5).

Do these steps to install the lower torsion link (10):
(a)
Lubricate the link pin (11) with grease.
(b)
Put the lower torsion link (10) on the attachment lug (12) of the inner cylinder and insert the pin (11).
WARNING: DO NOT GET CORROSION-INHIBITING MATERIAL IN YOUR EYES OR
_______ ON YOUR SKIN. CORROSION-INHIBITING MATERIAL IS POISONOUS AND FLAMMABLE. IF THE MATERIAL GETS ON YOUR SKIN, CLEAN YOUR SKIN WITH WATER. IF THE MATERIAL GETS IN YOUR EYES, FLUSH YOUR EYES WITH WATER AND GET MEDICAL AID.
(c) Apply corrosion-inhibiting material on the shank and threads of the retainer (13).

(d) (e) Install the retainer (13).Install the washer and nut (14) on the retainer (13). 1) Tighten the nut (14) with 840 - 960 pound-inches torque.
(2) S 424-013Do these steps to install the upper torsion link (5): (a) Lubricate the pin (4).
CAUTION:_______ DO NOT LET THE TORSION LINK FALL ON THE SQUAT SENSOR BRACKET. THE SQUAT SENSOR BRACKET COULD BEND OR BREAK.
