Do a check of attach points for too much wear (Ref Body Gear Lower Torsion Link Wear Limits).

Install the lower torsion link (10).

 (a)  
Set the lower torsion link (10) with the lower clevis above the lug on the truck beam.


 NOTE: Turn the left part upside down to get the right part.

 (b)  Install the lower attach bolt (19) through lower clevis ears of the torsion link (10) and lug on the truck beam with the bolt head inboard. 1) Install the splined washer (18) and the nut (17).

 2) Tighten the nut 960 to 1200 pound-inches. 3) Loosen the nut, tighten by hand to nearest castellation and connect with the lockbolt.
 (c)  Connect the actuators and the torsion link (10) at the top. 1) Install the spindle (4) with the splined washer (5) and the
 nut (9) on the inboard side of the torsion link. 2) Tighten the nut 2160 to 2400 pound-inches. 3) Loosen the nut, tighten by hand to nearest castellation and
 connect with the lockbolt (6). 4) Lift the aft end of the torsion link (10) into its position. 5) Align rod ends of the two actuators above the spindle hole and put nylon washers (3) between rod ends and spindle (4).
 6)  Tap bolt (2) into apex through spindle (4) and actuator clevises using hollow drift to avoid damage to actuators. a) Install the splined washer (15) and the nut (12). b) Tighten the nut 960 to 1200 pound-inches. c) Loosen the nut, tighten to nearest castellation and
 connect with the lockbolt (11).
 F.  Put the Airplane in its Usual Condition.
 S 432-015
 (1)  
Install hydraulic tubing and brackets on the torsion link
 (Fig. 202).


 (a)  
Install the bracket (15).

 1)  Set the clamp (14) and install bolts (22) and washers (23), do not tighten bolts.

 (b)  
Install the target (10) to the truck position sensor (Detail A, Fig. 202). 1) Set the target (10). 2) Install the shim (13), the washers (12 and 16), the bolts

 (17)
 and the nuts (11).
 3) Tighten bolts (17 and 22).


 (c)  
Install the hydraulic clamp and the trapeze (8) on the spindle (Section A-A, Fig. 202). 1) Set the clamp and the trapeze (8). 2) Install the washers (1, 2 and 3), the shaft (9), the bolt

 and the nut (5). 3) Tighten the nut and install the cotter pin (7).

 (d)  
Install the bracket (18). 1) Set the bracket (18) and the clamps (19 and 24). 2) Install the bolts (21) and the washers (20), tighten bolts.

 (2)
Install the electrical conduit on the torsion link (Fig. 201).

 (a)  
Install the apex fairlead assembly (6) on the lower attach bolt of the torsion link with bolts (5) and washers (4).

 (b)  
Tighten the bolts (5).

 (c)  
Set the pull box (1) on the torsion link and install bolts (2) and nuts (3), tighten the nuts.

Do a check of the adjustment of the position sensor on the body landing gear (AMM 32-61-12/201).

 WARNING: YOU MUST CAREFULLY DO THE STEPS IN THE TASK BELOW TO REMOVE THE
_______ DOOR LOCKS FROM THE LANDING GEAR DOORS. THE DOORS CAN CLOSE QUICKLY IF YOU DO NOT REMOVE THE DOOR LOCKS CORRECTLY. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
 (6)  
Do this task: "Removal of the Door Locks from the Wing Landing Gear" (AMM 32-00-30/201).
