Do a check of the points that attach for the worn areas (See Fig. 203, sheet 2 & 3).

Put the lubricant on all washer surfaces, nuts and threads of bolts immediately before the installation.

Prepare the lubrication inserts (3) and (6) for installation.
(a)
Lightly apply a layer on the O-rings (2 and 7), the lubrication inserts (3 and 6) and the internal surfaces of the apex bolts (1 and 5) with petrolatum.
(b)
Move the O-rings into the lubrication inserts.
(c)
Install the lubrication inserts in the apex bolts.
(d)
Attach the lubrication insert (3) to the bolt (1) with the lock ring (4).

Lift the lower jury strut into its position.

Install the apex bolt (5) for the drag strut.

Tighten the nut (15) to 600 - 1200 pound-inches and install the cross bolt (14).
