Do a check on the attach points for worn areas (Fig. 201).

Apply a layer of grease on the washer surfaces, the shank, and the threads of the spindle (6) immediately before installation.

Install the Jury Strut Spindle (Fig. 201)

Install the spindle (6), the splined washer (7), and the nut (8).

Tighten the nut (8) with your hand.

Loosen the bungee clamp slowly to let the jury strut to move into its position.

Align the holes with the spindle.

Apply a grease lightly on the pin (3), the end caps (4), the washers, and the bolt (1).

Install the pin (3), the end caps (4), the conduit bracket (2), and the bolt (1).

Tighten the nut 10 to 15 pound-feet and install the cotter pin.
