Loosen the electrical conduit clamp from the left box assembly (Fig. 401, sheet 1).

Procedure


 S 024-020
 (1)  
Loosen the bolts from the clamp on the forward deflector assembly to the upper tripod brace (Fig. 401, Sheet 3).

 (a)  
Loosen the clamps that hold the left and right box assembly to the trunnion (Fig. 401, Sheet 2).

 (b)  
Loosen the right box assembly from the forward deflector assembly. 1) Remove the top and the lower splice channels and the bolts.


 NOTE: the bolts that connect the forward deflector
____ assembly to the right box assembly.
 2) Remove the splice channels that connect the inboard side of right box assembly to the forward deflector assembly. 3) Remove the bolts that connect the forward inboard edge of the right box assembly to the deflector assembly.
 (c)  
Loosen the left box assembly from the deflector assembly. 1) Remove the splice assembly that connects the inboard side of the left box assembly to the forward deflector assembly.

 2)  Remove the bolts that connect the outboard edge of the forward deflector to the left box assembly.

 (d)  
Remove the bolts from the cross beam assembly.

 (e)  
Remove the bolts from the clamps that hold the forward deflector to the upper tripod brace.

 (f)  
Remove the forward deflector.

 (g)  
Remove the nuts that attach the right box assembly to the right trunnion support clamp.

 (h)  
Move the right box assembly forward and outboard from below the trunnion.

 (i)  
Move the electrical conduit on the left side of the shock strut away for the left box removal. 1) Loosen the upper nut on the flexible conduit.

 2)  Loosen the coupling nut at the control panel.
 3)  Remove the bolts that hold the conduit bracket to the support bracket of the hydraulic tubing on the left trunnion.
 4)  Turn the conduit about its lower axis, forward and outboard, until the conduit touches the upper tripod brace.
 (j)  
Remove the nuts that hold the left box assembly to the support clamp of the left trunnion.

 (k)  
Move the left box assembly forward and outboard from below the trunnion.

Disassemble the bullnose assembly as specified in the removal procedure if it is not disassembled.

Procedure


 S 424-010
 (1)  
Install the bullnose assembly.

 (a)  
Install only the outboard bolt in each clamp to install the clamps loosely on the deflector assembly (Fig. 401, Sheet 3).


 NOTE: Each clamp must be free to turn.
