Remove the jury strut spindle (Ref Remove Jury Strut Spindle).

Do a check of the jury strut spindle for worn parts.
(a)
Measure the parts if it is necessary and compare the measured dimensions to the limits dimensions.
(b)
If a part is not in tolerance, replace the part if you cannot repair it.
(3)
Install the jury strut spindle (Ref Install Jury Strut Spindle).

BODY GEAR JURY STRUT - MAINTENANCE PRACTICES

1. General
_______
A. Make sure you align the jury strut assembly correctly. Adjust it if it is necessary after the replacement of the body landing gear. And adjust it after the installation of the upper or the lower jury strut.
B. When you align the jury strut correctly, the jury strut apex is in the off-center position (Fig. 202 section A-A).
C. This procedure has 4 tasks:
(1)
The removal of the lower jury strut for the body landing gear.
(2)
The installation of the lower jury strut
(3)
The adjustment of the lower jury strut
(4)
The examination of the lower jury strut for the worn parts.

(1) Install the ground locks in all landing gear (AMM 09-11-00/201).
