(p) (q) (r) Adjust the forward outboard door stop at view D-D (Figure 505): 1) Retract the landing gear. 2) Find the necessary shim thickness that is needed at view D-D such that the stop pad just touches the door stop (Figure 505). 3) Extend the landing gear. 4) Install the shims and stop pad at view D-D that you determined are necessary (Figure 505).Retract the landing gear.Make sure that all of the door stops are in contact with the stop pads and that all of the doors are in fair.
(s) (t) NOTE: Write down the clearance dimension for the doors stops____ that do not touch the stop pads.Extend the landing gear and open the landing gear doors.If there is a clearance between the door stop and the stop pad at view A-A (Figure 502), shorten the linkage rod for the outboard door as follows:
(u) 1) If the clearance at view A-A (Figure 502) is between 0.002 and 0.030 inch, turn the rod end fitting one-half turn to shorten the length of the rod. 2) If the clearance at view A-A (Figure 502) is between 0.031 and 0.054 inch, turn the rod end fitting one full turn to shorten the length of the rod.If there is a clearance between the door stop and the stop pad at views G-G or B-B (Figure 505), shorten the linkage rod for the shock strut inboard door as follows:
(v) 1) Shorten the linkage rod for the shock strut inboard door by one half turn at a time until the door stop contacts the stop pad.Adjust the preload of the shock strut doors: 1) Turn one end fitting on the linkage rod for the shock strut inboard door one-half turn to shorten the length of the rod.
(w) 2) Turn one end fitting on the linkage rod for the shock strut outboard door one full turn to lengthen the rod.Retract the landing gear.

Put the control lever for the landing gear in the OFF position.

Make sure that all of the door stops are in contact with the stop pads and that all of the doors are in fair.
