_______ THE DOOR LOCKS ON THE LANDING GEAR DOORS. THE DOORS CAN CLOSE QUICKLY IF YOU DO NOT INSTALL THE DOOR LOCKS CORRECTLY. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

Do this task: "Installation of the Door Locks on the Wing Landing Gear" (AMM 32-00-30/201).

Do this task: "Installation of the Door Locks on the Body Landing Gear" (AMM 32-00-30/201).

(4)
Prepare the pivot bolt assembly for installation.
(a)
Examine the O-rings on the lube retainer for worn areas or damage and replace them if it is necessary.
(b)
Apply a large quantity of grease to the O-rings, the lube retainer and inner surface of the pivot bolt.
(c)
Put the O-rings on the lube retainer.
(d)
Lubricate the lube retainer again if it is necessary.
(e)
Put the lube retainer into the pivot bolt to make the pivot bolt assembly.
NOTE: Make sure to align the lockbolt holes when you do this.

G. Installation

(1) Install the wheel truck for the body landing gear.
WARNING:_______MAKE SURE THE PARTS HAVE A SUFFICIENT SUPPORT. THE TRUCK BEAM ASSEMBLY WEIGHS APPROXIMATELY 730 POUNDS. INJURIES TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR IF THE PARTS DO NOT HAVE A SUFFICIENT SUPPORT AND FALL.
(a) Put a wheel truck assembly below the shock strut of the body landing gear.
NOTE: You must put axle jacks below each end of the wheel
____
truck assembly to do this.
(b)
Put a small quantity of grease on the pivot holes and shank of the pivot bolt.
(c)
Put the thread protector on the pivot bolt and install the bolt.
(d)
Remove the thread protector, and then lubricate the splined washer and the threads of the pivot bolt and nut with grease.
(e)
Install the splined washer and nut on the pivot bolt.
(f)
Tighten the nut 960 to 1200 pound-inches with the spanner wrench.
(g)
Loosen the nut to the nearest castellation to align the lockbolt hole.
(h)
Install the lockbolt, washer, and self-locking nut.
(i)
Seal the lockbolt with tamper-proof putty.
NOTE: Apply the putty to make sure that if you loosen the
____
lockbolt, the seal breaks.

Install the brake rods (AMM 32-42-20/401).
(3)
Connect the lower torsion link (AMM 32-13-14/201).
(4)
Install the truck positioning actuator (AMM 32-13-15/401).

Put the antiskid wire bundle through the pull boxes into the axles and connect it to the antiskid connectors (SWPM 20-10-11).

_______ WHEN THE TRUCK MOVES FORWARD AND AFT AT AN ANGLE. THE INCORRECT INSTALLATION OF ELECTRICAL CONDUITS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT AND ELECTRICAL FAILURE.

Install the electrical conduit on the trucks and connect conduit nuts to the pull boxes (Fig. 403).
(a)
Tighten the conduit nuts to 175-200 pound-inches on a 3/8-inch conduit.
NOTE: Tighten the conduit nuts to 175-225 pound-inches on a
____ 1/2-inch conduit and larger.
