Apply a 0.02-inch (0.51 mm) thick layer of the sealant to the inner diameter surfaces of the support fitting.

 (d)  
Apply a 0.02-inch thick (0.51 mm) thick layer of the sealant to the inner diameter surfaces of the cap.

 (e)  
Apply a 0.02-inch thick (0.51 mm) layer of the sealant to the outer diameter surfaces of the bushing assembly.

 (f)  
Apply more sealant to the edges of the support fitting, the cap, and the bushing assembly.


 NOTE: This will make sure all the spaces are fully filled

 (Section A-A, Fig. 402).

 (g)  
Put the bushing assembly into the support fitting and cap with your hand.

 (h)  
Use the solvent to clean all sealant from the inner diameter of the bushing assembly.

 (i)  
Use the solvent to clean all sealant from the mating surfaces of the support fitting and the cap.

 (j)  
Apply a layer of grease to the inner diameter of the bushings and the mating surfaces of the support fitting and cap.

 (k)  
Install the G32004-7 tooling gage (larger) into the bushing and use the socket assembly to tighten the bearing cap bolts to 10,200 - 10,980 pound-inches (1150-1240 Nm).

 (l)  
Re-tighten the bearing cap bolts after a minimum of 1 hour and before the end of the sealant squeeze-out life.


 NOTE: Apply the applicable squeeze-out life for the class
____
 of sealant you use.

 (m)  
Permit the sealant to bond permanently.

 (n)  
Remove the bearing cap and the tooling gage.

 (o)  
Use solvent to clean area around bushing flanges.

 (p)  
Apply a continuous fillet seal of sealant between the inboard and outboard bushing flange and the cap surface.

 (q)  
Apply a continuous fillet seal of sealant between the inboard and outboard bushing flange and the support fitting surface.

 (r)  
Apply clear hydraulic fluid resistant coating on top of the sealant.

 (s)  
Use the solvent to clean the sealant from the bearing surfaces and the lubrication holes.

 (t)  
Apply a layer of grease to the inner diameter of the bushings and the mating surfaces of the support fitting and cap.

 (u)  
Make sure grease can flow through the lubrication paths.

 (v)  
Before the final assembly, install the G32004-6 (smaller) tooling gage into the bushing and use the socket assembly to tighten the bearing cap bolts to 10,200-10,980 pound-inches (1150-1240 Nm).

 (w)  
Apply grease through the lubrication fitting.

 (x)  
Apply a maximum of 360 pound-inches (41 Nm) to the G32004-6 (smaller) tooling gage.


 NOTE:____The tooling gage must be able to rotate. If the tooling gage does not rotate, disassemble the bushing assembly. Clean, assemble and check rotation until check is successful.

Use the sling assembly to install the nose landing gear into the dolly.

 (4)  
Make sure you install and tighten the left and right drive cranks for the operator rods of the aft door (AMM 32-22-04/401).

 (a)  
Examine the bolt that holds the drive crank to the trunnion lugs. 1) Check that solid bolt is in place.

 (b)  
Examine the bolt and the nut which hold the drive crank and the hydraulic support bracket to the trunnion lugs.


 NOTE: Make sure the bolt and the nut are in their position
____
 (left side only).

 (c)  
Make sure the bolt through the drive crank is tight and the sealant is attached.
