D. Prepare for the removal

(1) Decrease the pressure on the hydraulic power No. 1 system
(AMM 29-11-00/201).

WARNING: YOU MUST CAREFULLY INSTALL THE GROUND LOCKS IN ALL LANDING
_______ GEAR. AN ACCIDENTAL RETRACTION OF THE LANDING GEAR CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(2) Install the ground locks in all landing gear (AMM 09-11-00/201).

WARNING: YOU MUST CAREFULLY DO THE STEPS IN THE TASK BELOW TO INSTALL
_______ THE DOOR LOCKS ON THE LANDING GEAR DOORS. THE DOORS CAN CLOSE QUICKLY IF YOU DO NOT INSTALL THE DOOR LOCKS CORRECTLY. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

Do this task: "Installation of the Door Locks on the Nose Landing Gear" (AMM 32-00-30/201).

Disconnect the left and the right door operator rods from the drive cranks on the nose gear trunnion (Fig. 402).

Remove the wheel well doors for the aft nose landing gear
(AMM 32-22-02/401).

Install the rigging pin NS-4 in the cable compensator aft of the nose wheel well (AMM 32-51-00/501).

Remove the pivot link bolt to disconnect the bulkhead link from the trunnion pivot link (Fig. 401).

Disconnect and seal the hydraulic lines at the left trunnion bracket (Fig. 401).

Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
(a)
P7 Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel
1) 7G25 NOSE GR STRG PRI
2) 7G26 NOSE GR STRG ALTN

Make sure these switches on the P5 panel are in the OFF position.

Install DO NOT OPERATE placards:
-NOSE GEAR TAXI LIGHT
-RIGHT RWY TURN OFF LT
-LEFT RWY TURN OFF LT.

Remove the main box cover (J27) of the control panel for the nose wheel.

Disconnect the electrical connectors D2693, and D2694 and the tape wire bundle to the nose gear trunnion.
NOTE: The box of the control panel for the nose
____ wheel is at the right panel of the aft wheel well. You can get access through the right aft door of the nose gear.

(12) Remove the clamps and the electrical conduit from the wall of the aft wheel well.
