WARNING: BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU ARE NEAR THE OPENING OF THE SIDE CARGO
_______ DOOR. INSTALL THE PERSONNEL SAFETY NET ACROSS THE OPENING OF THE DOOR WHEN AN ACCESS STAND OR A PLATFORM IS NOT AT THE DOOR OPENING. THE MAIN DECK COMPARTMENT IS 16 FEET ABOVE THE GROUND. INJURY TO PERSONS CAN OCCUR IF THEY FALL THROUGH THE OPENING OF THE DOOR.

Install the personnel safety net across the door opening if it is necessary.

Remove the guide/restraint rails, rail supports, and rollout guide/stops adjacent to the sill assembly (Ref 25-58-02/401).

Retract the side guides on the sill assembly if they are extended.

Fold the outboard sills on the top of the inboard sills.

Attach the outboard sills to the inboard sills with the two
hold-down straps.
NOTE: The hold-down straps are at the forward and aft ends of the

sill assembly.
D. Remove the Sill Assembly

(1) Lift the shear-plunger levers to release the sill assembly from the floor fittings.
NOTE: There are 11 shear-plunger levers on the forward sill and the
____ aft sill. Ten of the shear-plunger levers are on the inboard side of each sill. The remaining shear-plunger lever is on the outboard side of each sill.
