Hold the limit switch assembly in its position on the structure while you install the screws.

Connect the electrical connector plug.

Install the steerable PDU which you removed to get access to the limit switch assembly (AMM 25-57-01/401).

MAIN DECK CARGO RESTRAINING SYSTEM - DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION

1. General_______
A. The main deck cargo restraining system consists of retractable guides, restraints, locks and stops which guide and secure containerized and palletized cargo units against lateral, longitudinal and vertical loads. The main deck cargo restraining system is shown in Fig. 1.
B. The main deck cargo modules are loaded in the airplane through the nose cargo door and the side cargo door.
C. The cargo units are propelled and steered by powered drive wheels over a surface of casters and rollers and then guided and restrained into parking positions in a double row along the main deck compartment.
D. The main deck compartment can accomodate 8 and 10 foot high cargo units measuring 96x238.5 (20 foot), 96x125, 88x125, 96x117.75 (10 foot), and/or 88x108-inches in length. Manual extension and retraction of the cargo restraining equipment is required for locking and unlocking of the cargo units.
E. The nose cargo area has two different loading and unloading
configuration:

The standard configuration can accommodate three cargo units P1A, P2A, and P2B. P1A and P2A units have dimensions of 96 in x 125 in x 8 ft contoured pallets, P2B unit has dimension of 96 in x 125 in x 8 ft pallet.
(2)
The alternate configuraion can accommodate two cargo units P1 and P2. The units have dimensions of 96 in x 125 in x 8 Ft pallets.
(3)
The units P1A and P2A have to be in the special contours size when loaded and unloaded through the nose cargo door.
(4)
The unit P2A can be a full size container when loaded and unloaded through the side cargo door.
F. The main deck cargo restraining system consists of the following
components and are located as shown in Fig. 1:

G. The P29th pallet position cargo restraining hardware control the guidance and positioning of a single 88x108, 96x117.75, 88 or 96x125-inch wide cargo unit along the right side in the aft end of the cargo compartment.
H. A cargo barrier net is above the main deck ceiling panel and is to give protection to the upper deck occupants and to restrain the cargo units from moving forward due to possible cargo unit shifting.
