K. Lock/Stop Roller-Caster Trays Operation Check

(1) Push the pin in the head of the roller shaft and withdraw the shaft to remove the roller from the tray.
(a) Make sure the roller shaft withdraws smoothly.

(2) Install the roller shaft through the holes in the tray until the roller locks in the tray.
(a) Make sure all rollers turn smoothly and freely.

Operate each caster shear plunger lever to retract the retaining pins that hold the caster in the tray.
(a) Make sure the caster is free to move forward and aft and lift out of the tray.

Install and align the caster in the tray.

L. Retractable End Locks Operation Check

(1) Operate the release lever for the tray locking pins at each end of the end lock to retract the retaining pins.
(a)
Make sure the retaining pins release from the tray.
(b)
Make sure the end lock is free to move forward and aft and lift out of the tray.

(2) Install and align the end lock in the tray.
(a)
Operate the release levers for the tray locking pins to extend the retaining pins through the holes in the tray.
(b)
Make sure the retaining pins engage the holes in the tray and the end lock is locked in the tray.

Make sure the rollers turn smoothly and freely.

Lift and move the lockhead restraint release lever in the forward-aft direction until the restraint lifts and locks in the extended (vertical) position.
