Make sure the cargo restraint retracts freely and smoothly.
(c)
On the semiautomatic doorsill restraints, push down on the horizontal guide and then release it.
(d)
Make sure the horizontal guide extends freely and smoothly after you release it.
(e)
Move the cargo restraint until it extends and locks in position.
(f)
Make sure the release pedal, latch, lever, or pawl locks the cargo restraint in position, as applicable.
(g)
Do these steps for the pallet locks and container stops: 1) Make sure the shear plunger lever(s) moves up and down freely and smoothly. 2) Make sure the arrow on the pallet lock points in the same direction as the arrow on the cargo floor. 3) Make sure the shear plunger lever(s) stays locked in the up position. 4) Make sure the pallet lock and container stop moves forward and aft when the shear plunger lever(s) is up.
5) Make sure the pallet lock and container stop is locked in place when the shear plunger lever(s) is down.
NOTE: A shear plunger stud engages a circular cutout in
____ the cargo track when the shear plunger lever is down. Make sure the shear plunger stud engages the circular cutout to lock the pallet lock and container stop in place.
