 (3)  This procedure uses adhesives and solvents to repair the cargo lining. There must be sufficient air flow in the area where you use the adhesives and solvents. You must not get the adhesives and solvents in your mouth or eyes, or on your skin.

 (1)  
Remove the cargo lining from the support structure if it is
 necessary (Ref 25-59-01/401).

Use the abrasive paper or the steel wool pad to lightly rub the surface of the cargo lining.

 NOTE: The surface of the cargo lining must be rubbed until it is

 not glossy.

 (3)  S 118-039Clean the surface of the cargo lining with a cheesecloth or wiper that is moist with the solvent.
 (4)  S 348-040Cut a patch of the same material as the cargo lining.
 NOTE:____ The patch must extend around the damaged area by no less than 5/8 of an inch.
 (5)  S 348-041Mix the adhesive (BMS 5-7) fully before you use it.
 NOTE:____ The adhesive must not be used if it is too thick.
 (6)  S 348-042Apply two thin, continuous layers of the adhesive to each mating surface of the patch and the cargo lining.
 NOTE:____ The first layer of the adhesive must dry fully before you apply the second layer. The second layer of the adhesive must dry only until it is tacky.
 (7)  S 348-043Put the patch on the damaged area of the cargo lining while the adhesive is tacky.
 NOTE:____ Sufficient pressure must be applied to the patch to make it bond correctly to the cargo lining. There must not be air bubbles between the patch and the cargo lining.

 (8)  Let the adhesive dry fully for 10 to 15 minutes.

 (9)  Remove the unwanted adhesive from the repair surface with a
 cheesecloth or wiper that is moist with the solvent.
 NOTE:____ The solvent must not flow in the bond area.
