 NOTE: The pull test will be conducted between the rope end
____ anchorplate and the section of the escape rope that enters the stowage tube. The escape rope must be pulled to breaking or 1500 pounds force, whichever occures first.
 (c)  
If the escape rope passes the pull test, put the rope back onto the structure bracket.

 (d)  
If the escape rope does not pass the pull test, replace the rope.

 (6)  Make sure the escape rope stowage tube is attached to the entry doorway overhead structure.

 LIFESAVING FLOTATION EQUIPMENT - DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION

 1.  General_______
 A.  Crew lifesaving equipment provided for sea evacuation consists of life vests and life rafts (when installed) stowed in readily accessible locations the flight compartment and upper deck.
 2.  Life Rafts__________
 A.  The life raft inflation gas cylinders and survival equipment are enclosed within the life raft packing. Accessories, such as first aid kits, rations and signal flares, may be packed separately and secured to the life raft pack.
 3.  Life Vests__________
 A.  Flight crewmembers life vests are stowed on each crewmember's seat backrest.
 B.  Spare life vest are located in stowage compartments.
 C.  Each life vest is packaged for protection in a polyethylene container.

 LIFE RAFTS - INSPECTION/CHECK

 A. This procedure has one task:
 (1)  Life Raft Inspection.

 2. Life Raft Inspection

 A. General
 (1)  There are two life rafts located in the upper deck under the forward left closet.
 B. Access
 (1)  Location Zones 223 Upper Deck Crewrest, Sta 385 to 632, Left
 C. Procedure
 S 026-002
 (1)  Remove the life rafts from under the forward left closet in the upper deck.
 (a)  
Loosen the safety straps.

 (b)  
Pull the life rafts from under the closet.

 S 216-003
 (2)  Inspect the life rafts for damage.
 (a)  Replace the life rafts if it is necessary.
 S 216-004
 (3)  Inpsect the safety straps for damage and wear.
 (a)  
Disconnect the straps from the floor tracks.

 (b)  
Disconnect the straps from the forward wall under the closet.

 (c)  
Replace the safety straps if it is necessary.

 S 426-005
 (4)  Install the life rafts:
