 (4) Adjust the clearance between the end fittings if it is necessary:
 (a)  
Loosen the two hex nuts at the aft end of the transition guide rail.

 (b)  
Move the lower end fitting forward or aft until there is a clearance of 0.11-0.13 inch as shown in Fig. 401 (Detail O).

 (c)  
Align the two end fittings.

 (d)  
Tighten the two hex nuts to 90-125 pound-inches.


 L.  Install the Stowage Support for the Transition Guide Rail (P29th pallet position)
 S 434-052
 (1)
Lift the shear-plunger lever to retract the shear-plunger stud.

 (2)  
Engage the tension studs on the bottom of the stowage support with the holes in the seat track.

 (3)  
Move the stowage support approximately 0.50 inch in the forward or aft direction.


 NOTE: The shear-plunger stud must align with the hole in the seat

 (4)  Lower the shear-plunger lever to extend the shear-plunger stud into the hole in the seat track.

 M. Install the Aft Outboard Guide/Restraint Rails (P29th pallet position)

 (1)  
Lift the shear-plunger levers on the rail supports to retract the shear-plunger studs.

 (2)  
Engage the tension studs on the bottom of the rail supports with the holes in the seat track and floor fittings.

Move the guide/restraint rail approximately 0.50 inch in the forward or aft direction.

 1.  General

 A.  This procedure has two tasks. The first task gives instructions to remove the vertical and side restraint/caster unit (referred to as the restraint/caster unit). The second task gives instructions to install the restraint/caster unit.

Remove the caster tray adjacent to the restraint/caster unit (Ref 25-57-04/401).

Lift the shear-plunger lever to release the restraint/caster unit from the floor fittings.


 NOTE: The shear-plunger lever is at the aft end of the
