Remove the pin that secures the trigger mechanism in the pivot support.

Do these steps to disconnect the lanyard from the manual inflation handle.
(a) Pull the lanyard retainer back against the spring force.
NOTE: This exposes the lanyard terminal.

Disconnect the lanyard from the manual inflation handle.
(c)
Tape the end of the lanyard to the bottle.
NOTE: A new lanyard will be with the new bottle.

(1) Make sure there is sufficient pressure in the stored gas bottle (Ref Inspection/Check task).

(2) S 432-010See that the safety pin is installed in the trigger mechanism.
(3) S 432-011If it is necessary, install the safety pin as follows: (a) Put the trigger lever against the stops. (b) If it is necessary, put the trigger lever against the stops as follows:
WARNING:_______ DO NOT ALLOW COCKING LEVER TO MOVE AWAY FROM SPRING-LOADED VALVE PISTON. IF COCKING LEVER MOVES AWAY FROM SPRING-LOADED VALVE PISTON, BOTTLE WILL DISCHARGE AND MAY CAUSE INJURY OR DAMAGE.
(c) 1) Use a rod to hold the cocking lever against the force of the spring-loaded valve piston. 2) While you hold the cocking lever, move the trigger lever until it touches the stops.Install the safety pin in the trigger mechanism.
NOTE:____ The safety pin goes through the trigger mechanism housing and the cocking lever.
(d) Release the cocking lever.
(4) S 432-012Look through the view hole to see that the firing lanyard is installed in the trigger mechanism.
(5) S 432-013If it is necessary, install the firing lanyard as follows: (a) Push down the cocking lever with a rod as far as possible. (b) Turn the trigger lever toward the view hole until you see the fitting for the terminal on the lanyard. (c) Install the lanyard in the fitting and let the trigger turn back to the stops. (d) Release the cocking lever.
NOTE:____ Do not remove the safety pin.
(6) S 422-014Install the bottle in the cradle.

(7) See that the brackets on the sections that hold the bottle are
attached firmly.
(a) Tighten the screws if it is necessary.

(8) Move the pivot support over the trigger mechanism and install the
pivot support pin.

(9) Connect the firing lanyard to the manual inflation handle as
follows:
(a) Pull the lanyard retainer back against the spring force.
NOTE:____ This exposes the lanyard terminal.
(b) Connect the lanyard to the manual inflation handle.
(c) See that the lanyard has a small amount of slack.

Connect the gas supply hoses.
