A. This procedure contains a task that restores the floor-mounted escape slide after it has deployed.

2. Restore the Floor-Mounted Escape Slide______________________________________
A. Special Tools and Equipment
(1) Escape slide deflation tool
NOTE: You will use this tool to deflate the escape slide. The tool is inserted in the turbine pumps to open the slide check valves. The tool can be made from wood or plastic that is
0.50 inch in diameter, with a "tee" handle to keep the tool from falling into the slide. The end of the tool must be covered with rubber to prevent damage to the slide.

Rope (or cord) - 1/4 or 3/8 inch diameter by 50 feet long

(1)
Deflate the slide as follows (Fig. 201):
(a)
Open the fitting at the bottom of the slide.
(b)
Continue to deflate the slide until it is soft but keeps its shape (approximately 1 psi).
(2)
Disconnect the gas supply hose.
