 (5)  AIRPLANES WITH STOWAGE BAG;
 Install the kevlar rope into the stowage bag.
 NOTE: Leave the unattached end of the rope exposed through the____
 $07 bottom of the bag and velcro it to the outboard side of the
 $07 bag.

 (6)  AIRPLANES WITH STOWAGE TUBE;
 Test fit the stowage tube and the guide to the doorway overhead
 structure airplane structure.

 (7)  AIRPLANES WITH STOWAGE TUBE;
 Temporarily clamp the upper end of the stowage tube to hold it in
 place.

 (8)  AIRPLANES WITH STOWAGE TUBES;
 Bend the stowage tube as necessary to obtain an alignment with the
 guide, sill whole, escape rope cut outs in the stowage tube and
 guide, and the clamp mounting surfaces.
 NOTE: Do not bend the stowage tube by prying it in the guide.____
 If the lower end of the stowage tube. (at WL 280) is more
 than .50 inches out of alignment with the sill hole, verify
 that the upper attachment is the correct component.

Install the rope end anchorplate to the structure bracket.

 Install the clamps.

 Bond the guide to the doorway overhead structure using BAC5010 type 117, type 70 is optional:

 (a)  
Verify the cut out in the guide is aligned with the cut out in the stowage tube.

 (b)  
Verify that the guide is aligned with the sill hole.

 (c)  
Apply the bonding agent at four locations.

 

 NOTE: Use BAC5010 TYPE 117, TYPE 70 is optional.

 (12) Install the capping plug.

 EMERGENCY ESCAPE ROPES - INSPECTION/CHECK

 1.  General_______
 A. This procedure contains one task:
 (1)  An inspection of the emergency escape rope.
 TASK 25-61-03-206-001
 2.  Emergency Escape Ropes______________________
 A. General
 (1)  Make an inspection of the emergency escape rope at these times:
 (a)  
At "D" check intervals.

 (b)  
Before you use it in a descent other than an emergency.

 B. Access
 (1)  Location Zone
 200 Main Deck

 C. Procedure
 S 216-002
 (1)  Examine the hook end loop.
 (a)  Make sure the hook end loop and attached hook are hanging from the door frame.

 (2)  
Remove the entry doorway overhead structure.

 S 216-004

 (3)
Examine the outer casing of the escape rope stowage tube.

 (a)  
Make sure the escape rope stowage tube is tightly connected to the entry doorway overhead structure.

 (b)  
Remove and replace corroded or damaged components (AMM 25-61-03/401).

 

 S 216-005
 (4)  Examine the structure bracket.
 (a)  
Make sure the structure bracket is secured to the airplane support.

 (b)  
Remove and replace any damaged, corroded or faulty components (AMM 25-61-03/401).

 S 216-006
 (5) Examine the escape rope end attached to the anchor plane.
 (a)  Make sure there is less than 25 percent fraying of the rope loop end.

 (b)  If there is more than 25 percent fraying, remove the escape rope and conduct a pull test (AMM 25-61-03/401).
