D. Procedure
S 424-011
(1) Install the base and the chute assembly.
(a)
See that the stop is removed from the forward end of the track.
(b)
Move the base to make the studs align with the openings in the track.
(c)
Put the base and the chute assembly on the track.
(d)
Move the assembly aft along the tracks.
(e)
Install the stop on the track.
(f)
Move the assembly forward to put it adjacent to the door opening.
(g)
Lock the assembly to the tracks.

(2) Install the slide pack in the chute.
(a)
See that the girt bar is through the loop on the slide girt.
(b)
Pull out on the girt bar retaining ring.
(c)
Put the girt bar into the retainer as shown (View A-A).
NOTE: Girt should pull directly away from girt bar when slide
____
deploys, not over it.
(d)
Release the girt bar retaining ring.
(e)
See that the girt bar is secure in the retainer.
(f)
Put the packboard release handle in the unlocked position.
(g)
Lift the pack and the packboard into position.
(h)
Put the pivot pins in their receptacles.
(i)
Connect the packboard to the chute extension panel at the hinge fitting (locking plate).

WARNING:_______ FAILURE TO ENSURE THAT THE RING AND TERMINAL FITTING ON THE END OF THE PACKBOARD SEPARATION LANYARD ARE CORRECTLY LOCATED COULD LEAD TO THE SLIDE BECOMING UNUSABLE ON INFLATION.
(j) (k) (l) Check that the ring at the end of the packboard separation lanyard is inserted into its stowage clip and that the lanyard terminal fitting is at the top of the ring (Fig. 401).Push the packboard release handle to the locked position.Make sure the packboard lock is engaged and the handle is in the detent.
(3) S 434-013Connect the stored gas supply hose.
NOTE:____ Make sure the O-ring is in position before you connect the stored gas supply hose.
(4) S 434-014Connect the release lanyards. (a) Put the ends of the lanyards in the brackets. (b) Install the cotter pins. (c) Put the extra length of lanyard in the pouches.
(5) S 434-015Install the stored gas bottle (AMM 25-68-04/201).
(6) S 984-016Move the assembly to the aft position. (a) Unlock the base from the tracks. (b) Move the assembly aft. (c) Lock the assembly to the tracks.
