(1) Place the braking roller in position on the roller tray.
NOTE: Make sure the braking roller spins freely in the loading

direction after installation.

Use the two screws together with the washers to attach the braking roller to the roller tray.

(3)
Tighten the screws to 221 +/- 44 pound-inches
(25 +/- 5 newton-meters).

Make sure the braking roller spins freely in the loading direction and has a resistance to rotation in the unloading direction.

TRANSPORT ROLLER - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. This procedure has these tasks:
(1)
The removal of the transport roller.
(2)
The installation of transport roller.
B. Transport rollers are installed on all roller trays in the forward and aft cargo compartments. The transport roller rotates with a minimum of friction in both directions on its hollow shaft.

_______ COMPARTMENT DOOR. INSTALL A SAFETY BARRIER (3PRE65B00040) ACROSS THE OPENING OF THE DOOR UNLESS AN ACCESS STAND IS AT THE DOOR. INJURY TO PERSONS CAN OCCUR IF THEY FALL THROUGH THE OPENING OF THE DOOR.
(3) Install a safety barrier (3PRE65B00040) across the opening of the cargo compartment door if it is necessary.
E. Remove the Transport Roller
