Push aft on the tee handle until it stops.

Attach the spring scale to the tee handle.

 (3)  
Measure the force to move the tee handle forward with the spring scale.

 NOTE: The force must not be more than 10 pounds.

 (a)  If the force is more than 10 pounds, do this task: "Flight Compartment Smoke Shutter Adjustment".

Remove the spring scale from the tee handle.

 (5)  
Push aft on the tee handle until it stops.

 NOTE: The tee handle must move freely in the forward and aft

 directions.

 (a)  If the tee handle does not move freely, do this task: "Flight Compartment Smoke Shutter Adjustment".

 (6)  Make sure the shutter opens and closes correctly.

Push the smoke evacuation tee handle completely in.

 (2)  
Make sure the smoke shutter is fully closed.
