 B.  There are two control panels in the forward compartment and in the aft compartment. The control panels attach to the structure above the compartment door on the forward side of the door opening. The first control panel (referred to as the cargo control panel) has a joystick control switch. The second control panel (referred to as the power-disconnect panel) does not have a joystick control switch.

_______ COMPARTMENT DOOR. INSTALL A SAFETY BARRIER (3PRE65B00040) ACROSS THE OPENING OF THE DOOR UNLESS AN ACCESS STAND IS AT THE DOOR. INJURY TO PERSONS CAN OCCUR IF THEY FALL THROUGH THE OPENING OF THE DOOR.
 (3)  Install a safety barrier (3PRE65B00040) across the opening of the cargo compartment door if it is necessary.

 (4)  For the control panels in the forward compartment, open this circuit breaker and attach a DO-NOT-CLOSE tag:
 (a)  P414 Main Power Distribution Center Panel Left 1) 414F15 CARGO DOOR CONTROL FWD

 (5)  For the control panels in the aft compartment, open this circuit breaker and attach a DO-NOT-CLOSE tag:
 (a)  P414 Main Power Distribution Center Left Panel 1) 414F16 CARGO DOOR CONTROL AFT
 E. Remove the Power-Disconnect Panel
 (1)  S 034-039For the power-disconnect panel in the forward compartment, disconnect the electrical connector plugs (DM917A and DM917B) from the panel (M917).
 (2)  S 034-008For the power-disconnect panel in the aft compartment, disconnect the electrical connector plugs (DM924A and DM924B) from the panel (M924).
 (3)  S 034-009Remove the screws from the cover on the panel.
 (4)  S 034-010Move the cover to get access to the screws in the panel.
 (5)  S 034-011Remove the screws in the panel which hold it to the structure.
 (6)  S 024-040Remove the panel from the structure.

For the cargo control panel in the forward compartment, disconnect the electrical connector plug (DM545) from the panel (M545).
