E. Remove the Continuous Side Guide
NOTE: For easy removal, start the removal procedure of the continuous
____ side guide in the specified sequence proceeding from the aft to the forward sections of the cargo compartment.

(1) To remove the end guide assemblies at STA 1956 on both sides of the aft cargo compartment:
(a)
Remove the profile attachment together with the adaptor from the rail and nut assembly.
(b)
Remove the bolts attaching the end guide assembly to the aircraft structure.
(c)
Carefully disengage the end guide unit from the rail and nut assembly and the aircraft structure.
(d)
Remove the rail and nut assemblies from the side guide assemblies at STA 1944.

(2) AFT CARGO COMPARTMENT RIGHT SIDE ONLY; To remove the continuous side guides between STA 1956 and STA 1924:
NOTE: The end guide assembly installed at STA 1924 cannot be
____ detached and remains installed on the aircraft.
(a)
Remove the profile support and clamp together with the plates from the rail and nut assemblies.
(b)
Do the following steps in sequence: 1) Remove the bolts attaching the side guide assembly to the aircraft structure. 2) Disengage the side guide unit from the rail and nut assembly and the aircraft structure.
3) Remove the rail and nut assembly from the end guide assembly at STA 1924.

(3) AFT CARGO COMPARTMENT LEFT SIDE ONLY;
To remove the side guides between STA 1956 and STA 1800:
(a)
Remove the profile supports and clamps together with the plates from the rail and nut assemblies.
(b)
Do the following steps in sequence: 1) Remove the bolts which attach the side guide assembly to the aircraft structure.
2) Disengage the side guide unit from the rail and nut assembly and the aircraft structure.

3) Remove the rail and nut assembly from the next side guide assembly. 4) Repeat the procedure until all side guides are removed to STA 1800.

(4) To remove the continuous side guides between STA 1800 and STA 1500:
NOTE: The end guide assembly installed at STA 1815 cannot be
____ removed and remains installed on the aircraft.
(a)
Remove the profile supports and clamps together with the plates from the rail and nut assemblies.
(b)
At STA 1500, remove the adaptor together with the profile attachment.
(c)
Perform the following steps in sequence: 1) Remove the bolts attaching the side guide assembly to the aircraft structure. 2) Disengage the side guide unit from the rail and nut assembly and the aircraft structure. 3) Remove the rail and nut assembly from the next side guide assembly.
4) Repeat these steps until the continuous side guides have been removed forward to STA 1500.

(5) To remove the end guide assemblies from the aft cargo compartment at STA 1500:
(a)
Remove the bolts attaching the end guide assembly to the aircraft structure.
(b)
Remove the unit from the aircraft structure.
