Remove the slide pack from the chute.
(a)
Remove the cotter pins and disconnect the cover release lanyards from the base.
(b)
Disconnect the gas hose at the fitting next to the slide pack.
(c)
Pull the packboard manual release handle.
(d)
Release the plate that attaches the packboard to the chute extension panel.
(e)
Lift and move the slide pack inboard at the base to get access to the girt bar.
(f)
Pull the retaining ring and remove the girt bar from the chute.
NOTE: If you only change the slide pack ,keep the girt bar for
____
the new slide.

Move the slide pack inboard off the base.

Remove the base and the chute assembly.
(a)
Remove the stop from the forward end of the inboard track.
(b)
Unlock the base from the track.
(c)
Move the base forward approximately 0.90 inch.
(d)
Lift the base from the tracks.
