 NOTE: Adjust the following steps ventilation times upward to
____ achieve satisfactory drying depending on the temperature, humidity, and quantity of CIC.

Ventilate areas, after application of CIC such as BMS 3-23, for a minimum of 1 hour.

Ventilate areas treated with CIC such as BMS 3-26 or BMS 3-29 for a minimum of 4 hours.

Use methyl ethyl ketone, or acetone to clean the structure before you install new velcro tape or double-back tape.

Install new velcro tape and double-back tape to the structure if it is necessary.

Install new stud fasteners to the structure if it is necessary.

Put the insulation blanket against the structure while you attach it to the stud fasteners and the tape.


 NOTE: Make sure the blanket is installed with the part number

 adjacent to the structure.

 CAUTION: CUT OFF THE SHARP ENDS OF THE STUD FASTENERS IN THE AREAS WHERE

 THE STUD FASTENERS COULD CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS.

 (9)  Install new clips on the stud fasteners to hold the insulation blanket against the structure if it is necessary..
 E. Put the Airplane Back to Its Usual Condition

Install the floor panels which you removed to get access to the insulation blankets.

Install the sidewall linings which you removed to get access to the insulation blankets (Ref 25-55-02/401).

 MAIN DECK CARGO HANDLING SYSTEM - DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION

 1.  General_______
 A.  The main deck cargo compartment is equipped with a cargo handling system consisting of a cargo drive system and controls, conveying equipment and restraining equipment. The cargo handling system propels and controls the guidance and positioning of containerized and palletized cargo units laterally and longitudinally throughout the main deck compartment. The main deck compartment cargo handling system is shown in Fig. 1.
 B.  The cargo conveying equipment contains of the caster trays in the forward area, caster trays and roller trays in the mid area, and roller trays in the aft area.
 C.  The main deck is divided in five cargo control zones: Nose zone 1, left zone 2, right zone 2, left zone 3, right zone 3.
