2. Forward Retractable Guide Rails (Fig. 1)

A. The forward retractable guide rails are for the alternate loading and unloading configuration (P1A, P2A, P2B). The guide rails are in the up position during the alternate configuration and are down for the standard configuration (P1, P2).
B. When the guide rails are in the up position, the "CAUTION RAILS UP" warning light flash to warn of the need to contour the P1A and P2A to prevent damage to the structure.
3. Guide/Restraint Rails (Fig. 1)

A. The guide/restraint rails are in the nose cargo area, and are for loading and unloading of the pallets P1 and P2. These rails hold the pallets in the lateral and vertical position in the nose area.
4. Park Rails (Fig. 1)

A. The park rails are on the right side of the nose cargo area. The park rails are to put the P2 or P2A pallet in the parking positions.
5. Directional Guide Rail (Fig. 1)

A. The directional guide panel installs in the forward center of the main deck cargo compartment. It contains six casters which are part of the conveyor system, and a manually moveable directional guide.
B. The moveable directional guide must be in the right or left position during loading and unloading operations to help in transport the cargo modules to the necessary area.
C. The panel is retractable below the conveyor plane to let the loading and unloading of 20FT and 40FT long cargo modules.
6. Restraint/Caster Units (Fig. 1)

A. The restraint/caster unit contains caster rollers to help in the movement of the cargo modules during loading and unloading operations, and two retractable restraints to give lateral and vertical restraint to modules parked in these positions.
B. The retractable restraints must be manually retracted during the movement of the cargo modules.
