Turn the retention pawl (hook) on the aft side of the center guide/restraint counterclockwise (clockwise for the right restraint) until it is held by the spring detent action.
(c)
Release the vertical restraint and do a check to make sure the restraint is locked in the retracted position.
(d)
Turn the lock release lever on the top of the center guide/restraint counterclockwise from the LOCKED position. 1) Do a check to make sure the lock release lever releases the
vertical restraint to the center outboard position.
(e)
Turn the retention pawl (hook) clockwise (counterclockwise for the right restraint) until it is held in the center position by the spring detent action. 1) Do a check to make sure the vertical restraint unlocks and
returns automatically to the center outboard position.

(4) Turn the lock release lever counterclockwise from the LOCKED position. (a) Move the center guide/restraint forward and let the guide/restraint lower in the retracted (horizontal) position. (b) Make sure the guide/restraint movement is smooth. (c) Make sure the guide/restraint does not extend above the adjacent side rails.

(5) Lift and move the center guide/restraint aft until it is locked in the extended (vertical) position. (a) Make sure the guide/restraint movement is smooth. (b) Make sure the guide/restraint locks are in the extended position with the lock release lever in the LOCKED position.

(6) Push and hold each pushdown guide/restraint in the retracted (horizontal) position. (a) Push the lock plunger toward the guide/restraint and release the pressure on the guide/restraint. (b) Make sure the guide/restraint lowers and locks smoothly. (c) Make sure the guide/restraint locks in the retracted position.
(d) Make sure the guide/restraint is 0.25-inch (minimum) below the top of the adjacent casters and rollers in the conveyor plane.

(9) Move the red release lever on the guide/restraint in the side door cargo transfer area outboard until it lifts and locks in the extended (vertical) position.
(a) Make sure the guide/restraint lifts and locks smoothly.

(1) Push the latch release lever on the top of the bumper and lower the bumper to the retracted (stowed) position.
(a) Make sure the bumper retracts smoothly and does not extend above the side rails.
