 (2)  Do these steps to do the test of the engine idle control with engine operation.
 (a)  Push and hold the switch on the GROUND SENSING relay which is found on the E11 logic shelf for the landing gear.
 NOTE: The logic shelf is found on the right side of the
____ radar bay and forward of the nose wheel well.
 1)  Make sure the idle for the two engines increase to the high idle position.
 (b)  
Release the switch on the GROUND SENSING relay.

 1)  Make sure the idle for the two engines decreases to the low idle position after approximately 4 seconds.

 (c)  
Use the test set for the two engine radio altimeters to put the airplane at an altitude of 600|50 feet (183|15 m). 1) Make sure the LOW IDLE does not come on.


 CAUTION: DO NOT MOVE THE START SWITCH FOR THE ENGINES TO THE "GND"
_______ POSITION. STARTER DAMAGE COULD OCCUR IF YOU ENGAGE THE STARTER AT SPEEDS OF MORE THAN 30% N2.
 (d)  
Put the START switch for the No. 2 engine to the FLT position. 1) Make sure the LOW IDLE light comes on in 6|1 seconds.

 (e)  
Put the START switch for the No. 2 engine to the OFF position. 1) Make sure the LOW IDLE light goes out.

 (f)  
Put the START switch for the No. 1 engine to the FLT position. 1) Make sure the LOW IDLE light comes on in 6|1 seconds.

 (g)  
Move the forward thrust lever for the No. 1 engine forward until you get 52|5% N1 1) Make sure the LOW IDLE light stays on.

 (h)  
Move the forward thrust levers for the No. 2 engine forward until you get 52|5% N1. 1) Make sure the LOW IDLE light goes out at or before 47% N1.

(i)  
Slowly move the forward thrust lever for the No. 1 engine rearward until the LOW IDLE light comes on.

 (j)  
Move the forward thrust levers for the No. 1 engine forward until you get 52|5% N1. 1) Make sure the LOW IDLE light goes out at or before 47% N1.

 (k)  
Slowly move the forward thrust lever for the No. 1 engine to the idle position. 1) Make sure the LOW IDLE light comes on 3|1 seconds after

 the display shows 45% N1.

 (l)  
Shut down the No. 1 engine (AMM 71-00-00/201).

 1)  Make sure the LOW IDLE light goes out between 25 and 46% N2.

 (m)  
Put the START switch for the No. 1 engine to the OFF position.

 (n)  
Put the START switch for the No. 2 engine to the FLT position. 1) Make sure the LOW IDLE light stays out.

 (o)  
Move the forward thrust lever for the No. 2 engine to the idle position. 1) Make sure the LOW IDLE light comes on 3|1 seconds after the

 display shows 45% N1.

 (p)  
Use the test set for the No. 1 engine radio altimeter to put the airplane at an altitude of less than 490 feet (150 m). 1) Make sure the LOW IDLE light goes out at 500|10 feet

 (152|3 m).

 (q)  
Increase the airplane altitude on the test set for the No. 1 engine altimeter to more than 500 feet (152 m) 1) Make sure the LOW IDLE light comes on.

 (r)  
Use the test set for the No. 2 engine radio altimeter to put the airplane at an altitude of less than 490 feet (150 m). 1) Make sure the LOW IDLE light goes out at 500|10 feet

 (152|3 m).

 (s)  
Increase the airplane altitude on the test set for the No. 2 engine altimeter to more than 500 feet (152 m) 1) Make sure the LOW IDLE light comes on.

 (t)  
Shut down the No. 2 engine (AMM 71-00-00/201).

 1)  Make sure the LOW IDLE light goes out between 25 and 46% N2.

 (u)  
Put the start switch for the No. 2 engine to the OFF position.

 (3)  Put the Airplane Back to Its Usual Condition
 (a)  
Disconnect the test sets for the radio altimeters.

 (b)  
Put the start lever for the two engines to the CUTOFF position.

 (c)  
Put the forward thrust levers in the idle position.
