 8)  Do a continuity check of these items on the N2 control alternator: a) The pins 1 to 2 on the PMC connector (2.8 to 3.6 ohms) b) The pins 4 to 5 of the connector D552
 (2.5 to 3.1 ohms).
 9)  If the PMC connector is in the limits and if problems with the N2 indication have occurred, do the troubleshooting procedure for the N2 indicating system (AMM 71-00-54/101).
 10) If the connector D552 is in the limits, replace the cable for the sensor of the N2 control alternator (AMM 73-21-06/401).
 11) If the connector resistances are not in the limits, replace the speed sensor for the N2 control alternator (AMM 73-21-08/401).
 (d) N1 (fan) speed sensor
 1)  Do an insulation resistance check of these items on the wiring harness for the control parameter: a) The pin P3-1 and the cable shield (5K ohms minimum) b) The pin P3-1 and a ground (5K ohms minimum)
 2)  Do a continuity check of these items on the wiring harness for the control parameter: a) The pins P3-1 and P3-2 (40 to 90 ohms)
 3)  If all of the checks are in the limits, this test is completed. a) Go the next test (T12 temperature sensor).
 4)  If one or more of the are not in the limits, continue with this check as follows: 5) Disconnect the two cables from the N1 speed sensor.

6)  Do an insulation resistance check of these items on the N1 speed sensor: a) The pin 1 of the PMC connector and the connector case
 (5K ohms minimum) b) The pins 1 and 3 of the PMC connector (5K ohms minimum) c) The pin 1 of the connector D546 and the connector case
 (5K ohms minimum) d) The pins 1 and 3 of the connector D546 (5K ohms minimum).
 7)  Do a continuity check of these items on the N1 speed sensor: a) The pins 1 and 2 of the PMC connector (40 to 90 ohms) b) The pins 1 and 2 of the connector D546 (40 to 90 ohms).
 8)  If the PMC connector resistance is in the limits, replace the wiring harness for the control parameter (AMM 73-21-06/401).
 9)  If the D546 connector resistance is in the limits, replace the wiring harness for the control parameter (AMM 73-21-06/401).
 10) If the connector D546 resistance is in the limits and problems with the N1 speed indication have occurred, do the troubleshooting procedure of the N1 speed indication (AMM 71-00-54/101).
 11) If the connector resistances are not in the limits, replace the N1 speed sensor (AMM 77-12-01/201).
 (e) Sensor for the T12 inlet temperature
 1)  Do an insulation resistance check of these items on the wiring harness for the control parameter: a) The pin P3-12 and the cable shield (10 megohms minimum) b) The pin P3-12 and a ground (10 megohms minimum)
 2)  Do a continuity check of these items on the wiring harness for the control parameter: a) Measure and make a record of the ambient air
 temperature. b) Measure and make a record of the resistance between the pins P3-12 and P3-24.

c)  The measured resistance must be in the T12 sensor limits for the air temperature.
 3)  If all of the checks are in the limits, this test is completed. a) Go the the next test (PMC switch).
 4)  If one of the checks are not in the limits, continue with
 the T12 sensor checks. 5) Disconnect the control wiring harness from the T12 sensor. 6) Do an insulation resistance check of these items on the T12
 sensor: a) The pin J1 and the connector case (10 megohms minimum) 7) Do a continuity check of these items on the T12 sensor: a) Measure and make a record of the ambient air temperature. b) Measure and make a record of the resistance between the pins 1 and 2 and between the pins 1 and 4. c) The measured resistance must be in the T12 sensor limits for the air temperature.
