Do a leak check as follows:
(a) Disconnect the sensor signal lines, P6 and PB, from the MEC.
CAUTION: YOU MUST APPLY PRESSURE AT THE SAME TIME TO THE TWO SENSOR
_______ SIGNAL LINES TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE SENSOR. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS PRECAUTION, DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.
(b) Connect the 2 sensor signal hoses together with a T-connector.
1) Connect a regulated, dry nitrogen supply to the T-connector.

Pressurize the lines to 50-55 psig (345-380 kPa gage). 1) Turn the nitrogen supply off when you get the pressure.
(d)
Measure the pressure for 2 minutes, no pressure decrease is permitted.
(e)
If there is a leak, use the Leak-Tek on the coupling nuts.
(f)
Loosen the coupling nut that leaks at the sensor. 1) Examine the condition of the fitting seat. 2) If the seat is not damaged, tighten the nut. 3) Examine the fittings for leakage again. 4) If the seat is damaged, replace the sensor or fitting in
the sensor.
5) Do the leak check again.
NOTE: Before you examine the sensor for leaks, make sure
____ that the connections from the nitrogen supply do not leak.
(g) Disconnect the pressure source.
1) Connect the sensor signal lines to the MEC.
2) Tighten the, P6 and PB, coupling nuts to
180-200 pound-inches (20.3-22.6 Newton meters).

(6) Install the lockwire on each line nut as follows:
(a)
Start the lockwire at the P6 or PB sensor fitting.
(b)
Twist the lockwire. 1) Complete the lockwire connection at the coupling nut.

(7) Move the shroud forward into its position against the threaded flanges.
(a)
Make sure the drain line nipples align with the drain lines.
(b)
Make sure the O-ring is in its position on the face of the tube shroud.

(8) Start the drain coupling nuts on the two shroud nipples with your hand before you do this step:
(a) Tighten the knurled nuts or tighten one or the other coupling nuts on the drain lines.

(9) Connect the shroud knurled nut on the threaded flange.
(a) Tighten the nut without the tools.

(10) Tighten the coupling nuts on the drain lines to 135-150 pound-inches (15-17 Newton meters).

(11) Install the fan duct panel between the fan frame struts (AMM 72-33-03/401).
(a) Apply the sealant to all four edges of the fan duct panel.
